The Summit Family gives back
Summit wishes to help keep these wonderful horses healthy and comfortable on their journey to healing humans.
By Summit Joint Performance
Our partnership with Beachwood Center for Wellbeing is significant to us because of the wonderful services they offer helping people ‘shift perspective, and heal’. Clients are excited to tell you how Integrative Equine Therapy (IET) and Beachwood’s horses have helped them with PTSD, trauma, grief, anxiety, depression and much more. Lynne Bryan Phipps has a huge heart and uses her horses to help others.
WHAT IS INTEGRATIVE EQUINE THERAPY?
It took Lynne four years to develop Integrative Equine Therapy, a protocol for treating anxiety and stress related illnesses. Clients achieve greater success in a shorter period of time with IET than with conventional therapies, in many cases where previous approaches have failed. Interestingly, equestrian athletes have found IET to improve their performance. In 2017, Lynne opened Beachwood in the scenic countryside southwest of Newport, Rhode Island, and now, only a few years later, is opening a new facility in Florida – one of the states with the highest number of veterans and veteran care givers in the country.
Aligning our efforts where our Summit product can make the greatest impact, we are proud to have formed a meaningful partnership with Beachwood Center for Wellbeing, a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization. Their mission is to provide services, training, and to further research in Integrative Equine Therapy (IET). Summit wishes to help keep these wonderful horses healthy and comfortable on their journey to healing humans… both in Rhode Island and at their new home in Wellington, Florida.
